Plywood Weight
This list gives you a general guide to the weight of a 2400mm x 1200mm or 2440mm x 1220mm size sheet
Marine Plywood
Marine Plywood British Standard BS 1088
Marine Plywood Australian Standard AS2272
Film Face Ply with WBP Glue
Sheet Size 2440 x 1220mm depending on availability or 2400 x 1200mm
Thicknesses 12, 17, 25mm
Film Face Plywood is produced to deliver a maintenance free surface, making it a versatile, ready to use surface that is easy to clean. This ply material is composed of a hardwood core, WBP glue and a black overlay finish. This product is also ideal for cement applications where F14 structural strength is not required.
Many people will call this Formply, but it can only be called Formply when it has been stress graded, and will be stamped with a PAA or EWPAA stamp.
NOTE : Formply is NOT Marine ply.
Formply is normally made with pine timber and interior or water resistant glue. Our ply is made using Eucalyptus timber and WBP glue.
For the technical people:
Formply, due to its short life as a structural member as concrete formwork, may be manufactured to either the structural plywood Standard AS/NZS2269 with Type A bond glue and B grade or better faces on two sides, or bonded with Type B water resistant glue to Australian Standard AS/NZS2271 or with interior Type C glue bond to AS/NZS2270 and B grade or better faces both sides.
Exterior Plywood
Because it is made to the PAA standards you can be confident of its quality.
For the technical people — This Ply meets the PAA standard and the Australian Standard AS2271 for Exterior Ply, with ‘A’ bond Marine Glue. It is manufactured from hardwood eucalyptus timber.
Large Size Plywood
They come in a few size and thickness variations. (all these size variations are not always available)
With all these sizes, they are not a stocked line, they are only available as special order and will require payment prior to ordering.
These sheets are more expensive, so unless you have a special project , I would suggest you look at the standard sizes.
All are cheaper for large quantity buys due to freight costs, which as special order lines are passed on to the customer.
T&G Flooring Plywood
AS2269 is a Structural Plywood made to meet various strength ratings such as F11, F14, F17
Tongue and Groove (T&G) Flooring ply is very durable and is pre-sanded for the best finish. It has a machined groove, as well as a tongue to ensure a seamless join when it is laid. T&G can be used in most flooring applications and ranges in thickness from 15mm to 32mm. It is lightweight but still retains superior strength and rigidity. We also have available Hardwood Ply with a H2 glue line treatment against termites, this glue line treatment is far superior to any envelope treatment as you can cut and drill the ply without the need to retreat the cut edges.
We can also get a Non Structural 2400 x 1200 x 15 T&G ply for uses where Structurally rated ply is not needed. (when we can get it)
